Meet The Wife Of Ohio State Coach Ryan Day (1:51)

As the Ohio State Buckeyes football offseason churns along all of the players are getting into playing shape for the 2025 season in a little over six months. But one player has enjoyed a very strong offseason of shedding weight.

Speaking to reporters this week, Ohio State running back CJ Donaldson announced that since coming to Ohio State he’s managed to lose 18 pounds. Donaldson declared that he feels like “The Flash” right now because he’s so much lighter.

His previous playing weight was hovering at around 240 pounds – a size he used to great effect at West Virginia for the past three years.

“I’m running like the Flash right now,” the senior running back declared.

Buckeyes fans are understandably thrilled by the idea of Donaldson being lighter and faster heading into 2025:

“This is very good news I think this will improve his game a lot Good luck CJ Donaldson.”

“Him and James peoples are gonna kill this year.”

“226 still a wrecking ball lmao. Interesting pickup. RB room is well.”

“They got CJ on that Will Howard nutritional program.”

Prior to joining the Buckeyes in December, Donaldson was a three-year starter for the West Virginia Mountaineers, leading the team with 31 touchdowns over three seasons as a hybrid tight end & running back.

Over the past two years alone, Donaldson has contributed over 800 yards from scrimmage and 23 touchdowns. He was one of the lone bright spots on a rather underwhelming Mountaineers team in 2024.

Now he has a chance to give the Buckeyes a bonafide “hammer & anvil” combination at the position in 2025.

The 2025 season can’t come fast enough.
