The Texas Longhorns got a big eligibility win on Thursday. Literally, it’s a big win.

Cole Hutson is a 6-foot-5, 308-pound offensive lineman who has been with the Longhorns since 2022. He committed to Texas as a four-star recruit in the class of 2022.

That class has now become popular in college sports because many within it are suing the NCAA to receive a fifth year of eligibility thanks to the new 5-in-5 rule.

That rule was supposed to go into effect starting with the class of 2027, but class of 2022 athletes are joining a lawsuit against the NCAA in droves to get this additional year of eligibility.

Hutson is just the latest on a growing list.
