Bangkok, Thailand: ONE Championship (ONE) electrified the Lumpinee Stadium crowd with another action-filled Friday night at The Inner Circle 25, which aired exclusively for members at live.onefc.com.
In the main event, Thai veteran Suakim PongSuphan PK secured a razor-close split-decision victory over Thai-Algerian phenom Nabil Anane in a thrilling ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Title eliminator, surviving a ferocious late onslaught from his younger opponent.
Utilizing his lanky 6-foot-4 frame, Anane dictated the opening round from the outside, keeping his opponent at bay with his massive reach and crisp boxing. The dynamic Thai-Algerian striker maintained his momentum early in the second stanza with heavy high kicks, but Suakim remained determined to close the distance. Braving heavy fire to step into the pocket, Suakim finally found his mark, uncorking a perfectly timed left hook that dropped Anane to the canvas for a pivotal knockdown.
Though Anane quickly recovered and retaliated with blistering elbows to close the second frame, he entered the final three minutes fighting with a sense of urgency. The towering former divisional king went for broke, teeing off with a relentless offensive barrage in desperate search of a finish. However, Suakim proved his toughness, absorbing every devastating strike Anane threw his way and flat-out refusing to go down.
The veteran’s incredible durability and game-changing second-round knockdown ultimately swayed the judges, earning Suakim the hard-fought victory as the final bell rang.
In the co-main event, the highly anticipated rematch between Thai icon “The Kicking Machine” Superlek and Russian powerhouse Abdulla “Smash Boy” Dayakaev came to a sudden and unfortunate halt, with Dayakaev claiming a second-round TKO victory due to an unforeseen injury.
Feeding off the roaring chants from the crowd, Superlek opened the contest with calm and patient precision. “The Kicking Machine” expertly blocked Dayakaev’s heavy combinations and quickly found his rhythm, rattling the Russian standout with a blistering step-in elbow before threading a crisp right hand down the middle to cap off a successful opening frame.
The Thai veteran attempted to carry that momentum into the second stanza, initiating the action with a sharp combination. However, during an intense exchange in the corner, disaster struck. Superlek suddenly collapsed to the canvas, immediately clutching and pointing to his right knee in visible distress. With “The Kicking Machine” unable to continue, the referee officially waved off the bout, awarding Dayakaev the anticlimactic TKO stoppage.
