With the UFC’s $7.7 billion deal with Paramount, Conor McGregor believes his old contract is now void and is expecting a new one to be on the horizon.

Desperate to get back into the firing line for the first time in half a decade, the global superstar is hoping to add to his already impressive legacy in the sport. Not only do future title fights interest him, but he is also expected to be the main attraction in what is being touted as the biggest card in UFC history at the White House.

With the June 14 event fast approaching, Conor McGregor has been heavily linked to feature. Though nothing has been made official at this point, the Irishman could be welcomed with a surprise opponent in Jorge Masvidal, instead of the long-rumored Michael Chandler.

No matter who is standing across the octagon from him, McGregor is confident that he will make his return at the UFC White House card.

“I’m warming up now for the White House fight,” McGregor said on a video game stream with his son and popular streamers. “I’m gonna be at it, yeah. For sure.”

“Gonna be insane, the White House card is gonna be.”

The White House card is rumored to have as many as seven title fights on the night.

If the UFC manages to pull off its perfect plan, likely, the majority of fans will still be most excited to see a comeback of the ages when Conor McGregor makes his way to the cage.

However, before any fight talks can commence, McGregor wants to have contract discussions with the UFC. According to ‘The Notorious’, he considers his old deal with the promotion void following their multi-billion-dollar agreement with Paramount.

“I’m going into negotiations with the Ultimate Fighting Championship in February, and I’m very interested to go,” McGregor continued. “They’ve actually got a new deal with Paramount. It’s worth $7.7 billion, so the company has 4x its profit.”

“And my contract, essentially, is void right now because there’s no more pay-per-view, whereas my contract was based on pay-per-view sales.”

“I’m the highest-generating pay-per-view fighter of all time. Now that the pay-per-view system is done, I’m due a new contract. So, we’re going into negotiations in February, and I’m very interested to see how it goes.”

Conor McGregor is the most prominent star to have emerged from the world of mixed martial arts. Not only is he a household name across the world, but he also holds eight of the top 10 PPVs in UFC history, blowing any of his peers out of the water.

With negotiations set to take place in February, four months ahead of the White House card, McGregor has a lot of time to prepare himself for his return.

The Dublin native has endured a tough time away from competition over recent years. His alleged trouble with controlled substances and alcohol, along with his numerous visits to court to fight ongoing legal cases, have plagued his name during his absence from combat sports.

Now, Conor McGregor seems ready to strap the gloves back on and do what he does best: compete in front of millions watching worldwide.

“And what am I doing for it? I’m focusing on what I can control,” McGregor confirmed. “I’m in the gym. I’m living in the gym. Focusing on my health. Focusing on my rest. Listening to my coaches. Following the gameplan. External noise is non-existent to me. I don’t absorb it. You know, you might not be unaware of it, but you don’t let it seep in.”

“My internal dialogue [is] strong. I’m here, you know, showing the kids, showing my team what it takes. You’ve gotta live it. You’ve gotta live and breathe it.”
