Crystal Palace and West Ham played out a goalless stalemate at Selhurst Park, with both sides unable to break through despite decent chances throughout the match.

Crystal Palace entered the fixture in 13th place with 43 points from 32 games. West Ham occupied 17th position with 33 points from 33 matches. Palace showed recent form of DWDWL while the Hammers came in on DWLDW. Both teams needed points for different reasons as the season wound down.

The match began with Palace controlling possession early on. Neither side created clear-cut opportunities in the opening stages. B. Johnson received a yellow card in the 21st minute for Crystal Palace as tensions began to rise.

Palace dominated the first half with 54 percent possession. Jefferson Lerma tested West Ham’s goalkeeper with a shot on target. The home side created chances but lacked the final touch to convert them. West Ham remained compact and defended effectively.

The Hammers posed a threat on the counter-attack. They recorded four shots on target compared to Palace’s one in the first period. Neither goalkeeper faced a serious test despite the activity in midfield.

Half-time arrived with the scoreline locked at 0-0. Both teams had chances but neither could find the breakthrough. Palace needed to be more clinical in front of goal. West Ham’s defensive shape had held firm despite sustained pressure.

The second half saw similar patterns emerge. Palace continued to push forward with more possession. Jaydee Canvot and Maxence Lacroix marshaled the defense well for the home side. Mateus Fernandes worked hard in West Ham’s midfield to disrupt Palace’s rhythm.

As the match progressed, both sides grew frustrated. Clear chances remained elusive for either team. Palace fired nine shots total but managed only one on target. West Ham shot nine times and hit four on target.

The closing stages brought more intensity but no breakthrough. M. Diouf and D. Munoz received yellow cards in the 90+2 minute. The final whistle confirmed a 0-0 draw neither side could prevent.

Palace finished with 0.68 expected goals while West Ham recorded 0.61 xG. The home team completed 440 passes with 81 percent accuracy. West Ham managed 359 passes at 74 percent accuracy. Palace earned four corner kicks while West Ham claimed five.

The draw left Crystal Palace in 13th with 44 points from 33 games. West Ham remained 17th with 34 points from 34 matches. Both sides extended their unbeaten runs but failed to climb the table. The stalemate reflected two teams struggling for consistency at different ends of the league.
