Australian Olympian Paulo Aokuso produced one of the knockouts of the year by leaving previously unbeaten Luis Antonio Tejeda unconscious with a single left hand in the tenth and final round on the Tim Tszyu vs. Errol Spence Jr. card.
Aokuso looked to be heading for a difficult finish after Tejeda enjoyed his best spell of the contest in the seventh round.
The Dominican trapped the Australian on the ropes, landed a series of heavy punches and appeared to have Aokuso badly shaken as the unbeaten light heavyweight struggled to keep his hands high enough to defend himself.
Rather than panic, Aokuso reset behind his jab.
The Australian regained control through the eighth and ninth rounds before waiting for one opening.

That opening came just 21 seconds into the tenth round.
Sensing urgency, Tejeda lunged forward looking for a finish of his own, only to walk straight onto a perfectly timed left hand that instantly switched off his lights.

Tejeda crashed to the canvas and remained motionless as the referee waved the contest over and medical staff rushed into the ring to attend to the unbeaten Dominican.
The devastating finish improved Aokuso to 11-0 (6 KOs) and preserved his unbeaten record in spectacular fashion.
Although it opened the pay-per-view portion of the Tim Tszyu vs. Errol Spence Jr. event, Aokuso’s one-punch finish remained one of the defining moments of the night. It also came just a day after another fighter was knocked out cold on Tyson Fury’s undercard, capping a brutal weekend of spectacular finishes.
Fellow Australian Olympian Callum Peters stopped Ivan Actis in seven rounds, Ahmad Reda outboxed former Olympian Paul Fleming over ten rounds, before Tim Tszyu closed the show with a unanimous decision victory over Errol Spence Jr. and sent the former unified champion into retirement.
