Following a super-limited drop for the inaugural “Butter” colorway, the Converse SHAI 001 continues its rollout with three new releases on October 2nd, 2025. The “Charm Black,” “Hail Clay,” and “Masi Blue” colorways will be available via Nike SNKRS as well as retailers like DICK’S, Foot Locker, Concepts, Sneaker Politics, and more, each priced at $130 USD. Each colorway sticks to the monotone blueprint established by previous releases, leaving the storytelling to the names themselves. The “Charm Black”, unveiled just ahead of Mother’s Day this past May, is named after SGA’s mother, Charmaine Gilgeous, whose favorite color is black. “Masi Blue” nods to Shai’s younger brother Thomasi, said to be inspired by the former University of Evansville hooper’s “cooler than ice” demeanor. Rounding out the trio, “Hail Clay” pays tribute to Shai’s wife, Hailey Summers — whom he calls his “Most Valuable Person” — by incorporating her eye color.
While October 2nd won’t mark the first time the SHAI 001 hits shelves, it will be the first time the sneaker is widely accessible (supposedly). The model’s inaugural “Butter” colorway released exclusively through Nike SNKRS and a handful of tier-zero boutiques, leaving major retailers like DICK’S and Foot Locker out of the mix. Now, with three colorways arriving at a much broader range of stores, it appears that everyone eager to get their hands on the SHAI 001 will finally be able to without much trouble.
