The Cincinnati Reds are looking to avoid being swept at home today after dropping the first two games to the Baltimore Orioles in this series. This afternoon’s first pitch is scheduled for 1:05pm ET. Today’s contest is streaming on Peacock and it’s an exclusive broadcast so that will be be the only way you can watch it.

Starting Pitchers
Nick Lodolo
The 2026 season has been inconsistent for Lodolo. Some days he’s battling control, others he’s batting allowing runs, and in some games he’s been quite good. After missing the first six weeks of the season he returned to the mound and he’s now made 10 starts. He’s been good-ish in the last two. Facing Milwaukee in both starts he didn’t give up a run while throwing 9.0 innings. In the second of those games he walked four batters but kept the Brewers off the board.
Teams are not sending many left-handed hitters out to face Lodolo this season, but the ones that do get out there against him are picking up hits very often. Lefties are hitting .358 with a solid walk rate against him, but they are not finding much power against him. Right-handed hitters are hitting for a solid average, walking at a good rate, making plenty of contact, and hitting for power when they do get hits. Not shown below in the splits is that his ERA at home is 6.30 (six starts) compared to just 3.32 on the road (four starts).

Kyle Bradish
After having a breakout 2023 season where he finished 4th in the Cy Young voting, Bradish was only able to make 14 starts in the 2024 and 2025 seasons combined. They were very good starts but he just couldn’t stay on the field. This year he’s been healthy and while he hasn’t been as good he’s still been above-average. He’s battled some consistency this year with his walks and how frequently he will either be dominant or struggle.
The platoon splits against Bradish are pretty small. Righties hit for a little higher average and a little less power. Left-handed hitters have a slightly lower average and hit for a little more power. The OPS difference between the two groups is one point. Where there’s a noticeable difference is that teams hit for a .306/.385/.465 line against him on the road while hitting just .199/.298/.348 against him at home. That massive difference doesn’t quite show up in his ERA splits, though, where his road ERA is 4.15 compared to 3.44 in Baltimore.
