Bryan Mbeumo scored twice as Manchester United came from behind to beat Atletico Madrid 2-1 at the Strawberry Arena in their pre-season friendly to lift the Snapdragon Cup.
Arnau Ortiz gave the Spanish side an early lead and United had to show patience before turning the contest in the second half in Sweden.
Ortiz opened the scoring in the fifth minute, curling an effort into the far corner to put Atletico Madrid ahead after a bright start from the visitors.
United trailed 1-0 at the interval but found momentum after the break through teenager Shea Lacey, who was fouled inside the box to earn the hosts a chance to level.
Bryan Mbeumo stepped up in the 53rd minute and converted the penalty to make it 1-1. His calm finish shifted the rhythm of the friendly.
Mbeumo then completed the turnaround in the 74th minute with the winner from close range following an interception by Jack Fletcher. The forward reacted quickest inside the area to secure the comeback.
Atletico Madrid pushed late for an equaliser and went close when Morten Hjulmand struck the post. The effort summed up their frustration after losing control after the interval.
There was a late landmark for United when youngster Joseph Gabriel came off the bench to make his senior debut in the 82nd minute, replacing Mbeumo.
The result secured the Snapdragon Cup for Manchester United and continued their strong Scandinavian tour. United had beaten Rosenborg 5-0 earlier in the trip and finished with silverware in Solna.
It was a useful test for both sides, with no red cards and only the single penalty separating two competitive pre-season displays ahead of the new campaign.
