“I think it’d be a similar package to what was reported in the Matthew Knies‘ deal, right? It was I think, it was (Alexander) Zharovsky, another prospect and a first-round pick. So it would be a similar type of package I would imagine
The Canadiens are in a good position where they have a lot of draft picks and young prospects that other teams would be interested in. And that’s one of the reasons that the Canadiens been such a good decision to make a move, and also why you don’t think Kent Hughes has to rush into doing anything, and see, and, and wait and make the best deal.

I mean, he, as he said when he spoke with us last, he said, ‘You know, I wanted after the, the trade deadline,’ He said, ‘No, I wanted to make a trade yesterday.’ Like, he’s been patient. He wants to do something.
But you know, Jeff Gordon’s very good. I think at keeping Hughes a little bit more calm than he is naturally, and holding off. And, but, I mean, I’d be really surprised if we don’t see a trade.
You know, the Noah Dobson deal last summer sort of came out of nowhere, right? That was, and that was a significant package they were willing to pay for him.
And that’s what they’ve done since this rebuild started: asset management. Was aquiring as many pieces as they could, whether draft picks or young players. And now we’re seeing the fruition of that, where they can even position, they can trade for the players that they want, and they need to push this rebuild forward.”
