Formula 1 has announced the return of popular original YouTube series Passenger Princess – featuring producer, writer, and host Amelia Dimoldenberg – for a second season, premiering in mid July 2026.
Following the success of the debut season – which garnered over 289 million views – the six-part weekly series will once again see Amelia step into the passenger seat alongside current Formula 1 drivers Charles Leclerc, Franco Colapinto, Valtteri Bottas, Gabriel Bortoleto, Kimi Antonelli and Alex Albon.
Produced and created by Dimz Inc. in collaboration with Formula 1, the series once again combines Amelia’s signature interview style with the fast-paced world of motorsport. Across six new episodes airing throughout July and August, Amelia will be joined by the new line-up of Formula 1 drivers as she continues her ongoing pursuit of becoming a more confident driver, with varying levels of success.
Building on the chemistry, humour and candid conversations that made the first season – which featured George Russell, Oscar Piastri, Ollie Bearman and Carlos Sainz – a fan favourite, Passenger Princess offers viewers a different perspective on some of Formula 1’s biggest personalities.
Blending comedy, competition and Amelia’s unique charm, the series created the kind of unexpected moments that have become synonymous with her work as the host, producer and creator of Chicken Shop Date.
Since Passenger Princess first aired, Formula 1 has continued to expand its global reach, with a fanbase now exceeding 830 million people worldwide, particularly among younger and female audiences.
The series follows the success of Netflix’s Drive to Survive and F1 The Movie, which became the highest-grossing sports film of all-time with a global box office figure of more than $630 million, featuring as part of a wider original content strategy to deeply embed the sport in popular culture and reach new fans outside of traditional race weekends.
Season 2 of Passenger Princess was filmed across the Barcelona-Catalunya and Austrian Grands Prix weekends, and will premiere exclusively on Amelia’s YouTube channel from July 2026.
“We are incredibly excited to bring Passenger Princess back for a second season following the fantastic success of the first series, which attracted millions of viewers around the world and gave fans a unique look at the personalities behind our sport,” said Emily Prazer, Chief Commercial Officer of Formula 1.
“Amelia has a remarkable ability to connect with audiences through humour, authenticity and creativity. With Formula 1’s fanbase now exceeding 830 million worldwide, this series is a brilliant way to engage both existing fans and new audiences, and we cannot wait for everyone to see the drivers face one of their biggest challenges yet… teaching Amelia how to drive.”
Amelia added: “Against all odds, they’ve let me ‘drive’ for another season. I’m thrilled to be back in the passenger seat with six new drivers and even more opportunities to demonstrate why I still can’t be trusted behind the wheel.”
