Nike GT Flight Releasing February 2027

While yet to play his first NBA regular season game, AJ Dybantsa already figures to be a key player in the future of Nike Basketball. The Washington Wizards’ #1 overall pick debuted the GT Future in college and is now serving as the face of Nike’s latest wave of GT sneakers releasing in 2027, kicking things off in Summer League with a new model that’s already gone wildly viral.

Sneaker News can confirm that the model AJ has been wearing is called the Nike GT Flight, one of three new GT models debuting next year alongside the Nike GT Force and Nike GT Uptempo (both of which have yet to be unveiled). If you’ve counted yourself among the crowd saying Nike Basketball has gotten stale on the new model front in recent years, consider this the Swoosh’s rebuttal. The GT Flight stands out with a distinct, large molded cage structure featuring curved lines that connect to the lace holes, tapering down around the toe and heel. The inner bootie, meanwhile, takes after the Huarache with a familiar sock-like fit.

Performance specs, including the model’s positioning for guard, big man, or wing, have yet to be announced. Given Dybantsa’s own versatility, though, we’d expect the GT Flight to be touted as a do-it-all shoe for players of any position. Rest assured there will be plenty more to come on that front as we creep closer to a release.

The Nike GT Flight “Black/Chrome” is confirmed to release February 4th, 2027 for $180, skewing toward the upper tier of the Nike Basketball catalog. Whether the public release colorway will feature AJ’s signature logo at the heel remains unknown. Speaking of which, the Nike Caitlin 1 debuts October 1st.
