Streetball Legend Frank Nitty Debuts A Dead Serene x Nike ST Charge Collaboration

Despite most GR colorways being Asia exclusives, the Nike ST Charge keeps finding ways onto the front page. Detroit Pistons star Cade Cunningham has been making the shoe his own ahead of his eventual signature line, building out a “Detroit Tough” series now continuing with a “Sunrise Glow” colorway inspired by his high school. From that PE series, we now graduate to an actual collaboration.

Nike athlete and four-time Drew League MVP Franklin “Frank Nitty” Session gets the honor, debuting an official Nike ST Charge collab through his streetwear label Dead Serene. Given Session’s status in the streetball world and the ST Charge’s intended “Street Tough” identity, we’d say the collaborator-silhouette pairing is a damn near perfect one.

The mesh portion of the upper carries a blue gradient reminiscent of spilled ink, while the TPU frame comes coated in violet with chrome Swooshes. Large Dead Serene text peeks through on the outsole in varying typography, joined by more co-branding on the left tongue. A cartoon graphic of Frank Nitty himself plays a key role, appearing on the inner tongues as well as an included hangtag accessory. Four lace options are included, among them violet and light blue colorways featuring repeated co-branding. Our favorite detail, though, is a hidden message under the insoles reading “you either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.”
