Your Action Plan

What: Your goal is to apply seven course management and mental game strategies used by effective golfers to enhance consistency and trust in your game.

Why: Highly effective golf is about making smart decisions, managing your routine, and trusting your abilities, which can immediately lead to lower scores without needing a swing overhaul.

The Seven Tips for Effective Golfers

Trust Your Instincts: Commit to the club you choose and trust the skills you are most confident in. The club you choose is always the right club.

Think Backwards (Play Smarter): Create your shot plan by starting at the green (what shot you want to hit in) and working backward to the tee. Don’t hit a hard shot just because you feel you need to reach a certain distance.

Use a Consistent Routine: Use the same routine with the same timing on every shot, regardless of importance. Avoid taking extra time over “clutch” shots.

Practice Swings Behind the Ball: Take your practice swings behind your ball to get a better view of your target. Use this time to visualize the shot and solidify your routine before stepping over the ball.

Clubface First Setup: When you step into the shot, set the clubface first. This anchors your setup and helps you align your feet and shoulders perpendicular and parallel to your target line.

Look at Your Target (Don’t Think): Avoid staring at the ball for too long. Look, feel, and visualize your target. Don’t try to think your way to a better swing.

Clean Up Your Grooves: Always clean your grooves on every club before every shot to ensure optimal contact and spin.
