A couple updates out of Milwaukee’s farm system:

First of all, Milwaukee announced their Player and Pitcher of the Month this morning.

Catching prospect Marco Dinges (rhymes with hinges) slashed .400/.523/.620 (20-50) with eight extra base hits and seventeen RBIs in fifteen games with Single-A Carolina. Dinges, a fourth round pick out of Florida State in 2024, is now slashing .324/.435/.471 in his professional career.
Pitcher Tyson Hardin, 23, went 2-0 with a 0.96 ERA (0.96 WHIP, .212 opponent batting average) in four starts for High-A Wisconsin this April. Hardin, a 2024 twelfth round pick out of Mississippi State, leads the Midwest League in ERA for the season (0.70).

Secondly, five Brewers prospects were named to Baseball America’s first midseason prospect rankings.

Jesús Made is now all the way up to No. 6 overall (in between Jackson Jobe and Leodalis De Vries) after beginning the season at No. 17. Made has had a torrid start to the season, drawing comparisons to Jackson Chourio due to his impressive production at just seventeen years old. He’s slashing .295/.404/.455 with three home runs through 88 games with Single-A Carolina.
Cooper Pratt is ranked at No. 28 after beginning the year at No. 50. Pratt (.271/.350/.411) has posted almost identical numbers to last year (.277/.362/.406) despite facing better competition with Double-A Biloxi.
Jacob Misiorowski sits at No. 35 (previously No. 44) after an impressive start. Control has historically been an issue for Misiorowski, but he now sports a career low BB/9 (4.29) through seven appearances this season. If he keeps this up, he should get called up sometime before September.
Jeferson Quero drops down to No. 66 after beginning the year at No. 43. Quero has yet to make his season debut — he’s still rehabbing a season ending labrum tear suffered on Opening Day 2024
Infield prospect Luis Peña makes his first appearance on the list, at No. 79. The eighteen-year-old Peña has been putting up MLB The Show numbers so far this season (.353/.430/.500, 18 stolen bases in 16 games). He’s drawn comparisons to both Made and Chourio. For those of you unfamiliar with Peña, here’s how he celebrated becoming a Top 100 prospect:
